For the sixth year, the New York City-based National Board of Review has given serious loving to a Disney/Pixar film. According to the NBR's website, Pete Docter and Bob Peterson's Up was not only named the Best Animated Film of the year, but also one of the Top Ten films of 2009.

Disney/Pixar's Up Named National Board of Review's Best Animated Film

The Pete Docter/Bob Peterson film, about a septuagenarian (voiced by Ed Asner) who lifts his house from the ground via a mass of balloons, became the 4th consecutive Disney/Pixar film to take the honours. It succeeded 2006's Cars, 2007's Ratatouille and 2008's WALL-E. 2004's The Incredibles and 2003's Finding Nemo were the other two Pixar movies to win the award; the line was only broken because Pixar didn't release a film in 2005.
